We are a Golden Retriever Rescue that loves the breed. We all have Goldens and understand what it takes to live with them. We call them the Velcro dog. If you don't want a dog who needs to have your attention, love and to serve you, then this breed is not for you.
We are lucky to have kennels and veterinarians in our area that agree with us about helping with the Golden Retriever breed, so our dogs are located within a couple of miles of each other. You can call or email us about the dog you are interested in, and we will let you know which kennels he or she is in.


J&L GOLDEN RETRIEVER RESCUE works through and with THE BALDWIN COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY. We are not a 501(C) 3 charity at this time, but THE HUMANE SOCIETY is, so your check is tax deductible. We like to do a home visit to see where our rescued dog will be and how the your family interacts with the dog. Also, we look to your vet for a referral, to aid us in the knowledge that your care for this animal will continue after their placement. When we adopt out our Goldens they have everything as in shots, spayed or neutered, heartworm treatment if positve and any other care that is required.
