During 2006 we held over 20 pet rescue adoption events throughout Baldwin County, placing 1,808 animals in new homes. We offer the only comprehensive spay/neuter program in Baldwin County. Reduced rate spay/neuter surgeries are available to adopting and existing pet owners. Low cost surgeries are available to households with incomes of $30,000 or less, as well as households with a family member receiving Medicaid. These programs are subsidized by BARC.

Baldwin County has experienced explosive growth in the past few years; growth which is straining animal rescue and adoption efforts to their limit.

We need your financial support to ease this strain and help animals which cannot help themselves.

All of our efforts cost money, lots of money. Our fiscal 2006 expenditures exceeded $400,000, nearly double that of three short years ago. This is where you come in. • $100 donation will prepare a dog or cat for adoption.
• $200 donation will pay for one month’s boarding while a dog awaits adoption.
• $500 donation will sponsor an orthopedic surgery
• $1,000 donation will pay for 20 spay/neuter surgeries.
• $5,000 donation will help purchase a transport trailer equipped to accommodate dogs and cats.
• Other amount – Every donation, no matter how small or how large, is greatly needed and deeply appreciated. We will put your donation to use where it is most needed.
